Petit Beurre : The Petit Beurre is a shortbread biscuit, made of flour (70 %), butter (15 %), sugar, milk powder, salt, baking powder and essence. The recipe that we know today was developed in a family bakery in Nantes, France.

Breton Biscuits : Breton Biscuit is a thick and buttery cookie, made with a shortcrust pastry. Its shape looks like a hockey puck, from which it takes its French name (“Breton Puck”).

Cookies : Also known as Chocolate Chip Biscuit, the Cookie is a dry and round biscuit that contains whole pieces of chocolate. It comes from the Dutch word koekje, which means "little cake."

Sablés : Sablé is a little biscuit, quite crumbly, made of flour, sugar, and butter. It comes from the Marquise de Sablé, who brought dry round cookies to the brother of King Louis XIV.

Ladyfingers : Ladyfingers are also known as Sponge Fingers. They are very crumbly and crispy, elongated and sprinkled with either granulated sugar or icing sugar.

Palm Trees : Palm Trees are palm leaf shaped biscuits. Made with flour and fat, they are flaky, crispy and light.

Wafer : Wafer is a small biscuit, very light, flaky and crispy. Originally, a saying was carved on the Wafer to feed conversation in villages.

Fingers : Fingers are biscuits coated with a thin layer of chocolate. The shape is inspired by the finger of the hand, and it was first created in 1897.

Cat tongue : Cat Tongue is oblong and flat biscuit founded in the 17th century. It’s made with eggs, and flour and sugar in equal amounts. It’s really crunchy and delicious!

Cigarettes Russes : Cigarettes Russes first appeared in the mid 18th century, in reference to how Russians rolled their cigarettes.

How to buy

The packaging must be in a good condition without any crease marks, or else the biscuits might be crushed inside.

Keep Biscuits in a cool and dry place until the use-by date. Once the packet is opened, keep them in an airtight container.

Tips

You can maximize on the conservation of Cigarettes Russes by putting them in an airtight container, and covering the bottom of the container with a thin layer of powdered sugar. This also keeps the crispness of your biscuits.
