In Asia, the Mushroom is a symbol of longevity and even of immortality, whereas in Poland, Mushrooms are eaten during Christmas to facilitate contact with the dead. A funny fact: the biggest Mushroom of the world is in Oregon, USA, and is 9 km² wide… Others impressive figures: there are over 50,000 varieties of Mushrooms! But only about twenty are used in cooking. We supply most of them:

How to buy

Choose firm, clean and not viscous Mushrooms. Avoid those that are dark or dry. The caps must be well closed.

how to keep

Keep Mushrooms in the fridge. Cover partially to prevent them from drying. Use within 3 days.

Tips

To get the most of the flavor, add them in at the end of cooking. Never soak Mushrooms in water or they will become spongy. Unless of course if they are dry and you want to rehydrate them.
