Langoustine

Know your product

Nephrops norvegicus is commonly called Langoustine, Norway Lobster, Dublin Bay Prawn or True Scampi. It measures from 10–25 cm long. It’s omnivorous, even if it prefers to eat shellfish or mollusks. Its flesh is appreciated for being delicate and fine, and is similar in taste to the Lobster. It’s rich in protein, calcium, phosphorous, and iron. Our langoustines mainly come from the Northeast Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.

How to buy

Choose fresh and shiny Langoustines, with a pleasant sea smell. Avoid those with a slight ammoniac odor.

Keep fresh or cooked Langoustines in the fridge for 24 hours, or for a month in the freezer.

Tips
