Cheddar is a cheese which color goes from light yellow to orange to red. It comes from the town of Cheddar, England. It is usually sold as a block or in slices, and is widely used by cooks. It’s actually the cheese most eaten in the world. The biggest block ever produced, made for the New York World’s Fair of 1964, weighed more than 15 tons. Cheddar’s taste is unique and very pleasant, and is different according to the variety: sweet, medium-sweet, strong and extra-strong.
