Cantal is a cheese from the center of France, made from cow's milk. It’s firm, crumbly, yellow, and with a gray, gold, or brown crust. With Protected Designation of Origin certification, it is unique, not only its appearance but also its tangy taste: intense, slightly fruity and persistent.

How to buy

Your Cantal cheese must be very firm, yellow, ochre or brown, and have a pleasant rustic smell.

Keep Cantal cheese in a cool and dry place, covered with a cloth.

Tips

You can serve it with red wine and old-style bread.
