Greeks already cultivated Beetroot 2,500 years ago. Today, it is used as a vegetable but also to make sugar, used as a food colorant, or to process ethanol for gasoline. Beetroot is full of vitamin C and potassium, and is very rich in folic acid. It has a beautiful purple-red color, and releases a delicious sweet taste.

We supply cooked or raw, red or yellow beets, germinating or young, as well as organic beets and baby beets.

How to buy

Choose firm beets, with a beautiful regular shape, smooth and without cracks. They must not be blemished. If they have leaves, they must have a beautiful dark green color and look very fresh.

how to keep

Keep your unwashed beets covered in the fridge, with their stalk and root, for up to a week.

Tips

To revive your beet’s color, cook it with the skin in water and with a little of lemon juice for 30–60 mins.
