Corn

Know your product

Corn was already cultivated in South and North America 9,000 years ago and it was a basic ingredient for the Aztec, Olmec, and Maya people. Christopher Columbus went on to spread it worldwide. Today, it is eaten whole and as a soft grain, porridge, flour, in pancakes, or as cobs, warmed and grilled.

How to buy

Choose Corn cobs with a beautiful green pod that looks fresh and has a clammy stalk. If you pierce the grain, it must be juicy.

how to keep

Wrap your cobs in a wet paper towel and keep them in the fridge for a few days only.

Tips

Corn cobs can leave tough strings in the mouth. To avoid this, wash cobs drain them, and then put out to dry on absorbent paper. Rub the cobs from the top to the bottom, and the hairs of the corn will come away.
