Know your product

Up until the 18th century, when the kings of France were crowned they received a gift of a pear and a glass of champagne. This fruit comes from Central Asia originally and has many varieties: the pear William, the pear of Anjou, the pear Bosc, the pear Seckel… They are sweet and juicy, fibrous and soft.

We offer a selection of different varieties and qualities, calibrated from 45–60 mm and 75–130 g.

How to buy

Choose firm and smooth pears, with a beautiful shape. If the fruit is slightly blemished, it won’t affect its flavor. Use a very ripe fruit if you want to serve it immediately.

how to keep

Keep your unwashed pears in the fridge for up to 3 days. If they are still green and very firm, place them in a paper bag at room temperature until they react to a slight pressure from the hand.

Tips

To prevent it from turning brown, you can coat its flesh with lemon juice. It will also enhance the flavor.
