Carrots come from Iran, but the long and orange ones we commonly know today were cultured in Holland in the 17th century. There are now many more varieties: white, yellow, red or purple. Surprisingly, it is one of the only vegetables we can use to make jam. Carrots are rich in vitamins C, K and B6, as well as in folic acid and potassium.

How to buy

Choose firm and crunchy Carrots, with a beautiful, regular shape and a smooth clean and shiny orange skin.

how to keep

If they have some leaves, remove them. Cover Carrots and keep them in the fridge for up to several weeks.

Tips

You can recycle Carrot peels by cooking them to make a delicious soup.
