Pulpy, juicy, flavored and sweet, the Peach was already being eaten 3,500 years ago in China, where the legend has it that it granted immortality. When he first tasted the fruit, Alexander the Great was so captivated he decided to introduce the peach to Europe. The peach was also the favorite fruit of the king of France Louis XIV, so called “Sun King,” who had over 30 varieties grown in his gardens of Versailles.
Peaches are rich in vitamin C, sodium and fat-free.

Our peaches have 8 different standards comprised between 51–90 cm in diameter and weighing between 65–300 g. These categories are also determined by their sugar content and the fruit’s firmness.

How to buy

Choose peaches with a bit of yellow on the skin. It has to react to a slight pressure when held but not to pressure made by the fingers.

how to keep

To ripen your fruit place them in a paper bag and leave them at room temperature. Once ripe, keep your peaches unwashed and covered in the fridge.

Tips

To prevent a peach from turning brown, you can coat its flesh with lemon juice. It also adds a nice aftertaste. To peel them easily, plunge them into warm water for a few seconds and then cool them immediately.
