Botanically close to the bean, Soya is cultivated for its seeds, which contain the richest nutrients: proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins A and B, phosphorous, potassium, magnesium, zinc, and even iron. It was cultivated for the first time in China over 13,000 years ago. Today, Soya is a basic foodstuff for many people around the world, especially in Asia. Many products are made from Soya: milk and other drinks, tofu, desserts, dishes, sauces, flours or oil.

Choose seeds that look fresh and are without spots.

how to keep

Keep dry Soya seeds in a cool and dry place for up to 1 year. When its fresh, you can dip it in boiling water for 5 mins, then store it in very cold water. Dry it and you can freeze it in its pods.

Tips

To keep all its flavors, don’t overcook Soya. Add it in at the end of cooking.
