Aphareus or Aprion virescens is also called Snapper. There are over 200 different species of it. It can weigh up to 15 kg, although its weight is generally between 1–4 kg. Its white and firm flesh releases delicate and delicious flavors.

How to buy

Choose Snappers with prominent eyes, red and shiny. Their skin should be shiny as well.

Tips
