Potatoes

Know your product

Potato comes from the Andes in South America, where it was already cultivated 8,000 years ago. History tells that in the 18th century, the French nutritionist Antoine Parmentier used a very clever trick to market this tuber, which was quite unpopular at the time: he hired a person to guard a Potato field, which made people think that the food was rare and noble. People stole it, cooked it, and adored it. Today, Potatoes are well liked, especially as they are very rich in potassium and vitamin B6, and because they are a good source of vitamins C and B3, iron, magnesium and fiber.

We supply two types of Potatoes: Ware Potatoes and New Potatoes. Smaller, the latter are picked before their maturity.
