Melanogrammus aeglefinus is commonly named Haddock. It’s a spindle-shaped fish, provided with three dorsal fins and black coloration to its back. It’s easily recognizable by the two dark spots on each side of its head. It grows to 30–50 cm in length. Haddock is very popular when smoked and salted, especially suited for the famous "Fish and Chips".
Haddock is a thin fish, rich in high quality proteins, vitamins A and B, magnesium, phosphorous, calcium, zinc or even iodine. Its fine and white flesh is fluffy. It releases flavors similar to cod, although more refined.

Choose Haddock with a shiny and smooth skin, bright eyes and a fresh smell.
