Know your product

Formerly considered as a magical plant, Fennel is often used as a vegetable to be cooked. It tastes slightly sweet and its flavor is like aniseed; you find in this vegetable and in Pastis the same molecule called anethol.

How to buy

Choose Fennel stalks that are very green and shiny. Bulbs must be firm with a pale color.

how to keep

Remove stalks and leaves, wrap Fennel with plastic film, and keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Tips

Do not throw the Fennel leaves away, you can chop and use them for seasoning, especially with seafood.
