Crab

Know your product

Portunus pelagicus is commonly called Crab. This animal used to be a protective symbol. This amphibian shellfish is provided with a thick protective shell and with powerful and sharp claws. It lives with the rhythm of tides, and moves both sideways and backwards. It defends itself more than it attacks, but it is also really tenacious. Indeed, when it holds its prey, the crab prefers to lose its own claw than letting go.
The flesh of the crab is white, delicious and soft, with a unique and fine flavor. It’s very rich in protein, vitamin B12, selenium, zinc and copper.

Our range of living or cooked Crabs is vast:
- Whole Crabs, Crab flesh, claws
- Green Crabs (Carcinus)
- Brown Crabs (Cancer Pagurus), mainly fished in the Northeast Atlantic Ocean
- Jumbo Crabs.
